Expand the production capacity of your glass studio with the massive 24.24-cubic-foot PAF20-1 glass annealing kiln. Make glass vases, bowls, and figurines without worrying about having enough annealing capacity.

The PAF20-1 is designed for annealing, so the maximum temperature is 1000°F (538°C). With this kiln, you are buying only the heating capacity that you need for annealing.

The PAF20-1 is stackable. As your business grows, add another PAF20-1 without using more floor space. The feet of the top kiln fit into the four stacking points of the bottom kiln. Level the kiln in minutes with levelers that are built into the feet.

Spring-loaded quick-release door latches allow one-handed loading into the hot kiln. The doors open smoothly on heavy-duty 3/4” hinge shafts. The firing chamber opening is lined on all four sides with a fiber rope door seal. The doors also each have a seal where the doors meet in the center. Each door has a safety switch that turns off the elements when the door is opened. The controller remains powered and automatically resumes firing when you close the doors.

You will enjoy the convenience of digital firing. The solid state Sentry Xpress controller continually monitors the firing so you can spend your time productively without closely watching the kiln. The sealed touch pad keeps out dust and is easy to wipe clean.

The kiln heats from the sides and back. Dropped, recessed brick grooves protect the elements for long life. The kiln is heavily insulated for economical operation. The insulating firebricks and fiberboard, wrapped in heavy-gauge steel, soak up heat for slow, efficient cooling:

Other Features:

4” thick top: 3” firebrick and 1” ceramic fiberboard

3” thick doors: 3” ceramic fiberboard

4” thick walls: 1” ceramic fiberboard and 3” firebricks

4” thick bottom: 1” ceramic fiberboard and 3” firebricks

A mercury relay is standard on this kiln. The relay sends power to the elements on command from the digital controller. The life of the quiet, reliable mercury relay has been measured in millions of on/off cycles.

Paragon’s PAF20-1 is made for years of rigorous firing with a heavy 2” tubular steel frame. A heat shield and 1 3/4” air gap between the kiln and ventilated switch box help keep electrical components cool for long, trouble-free service. Costly heavy-gauge nickel-plated copper wiring is covered with high temperature glass-braided insulation. The thermocouple, which senses temperature inside the kiln, is protected with a high-nickel stainless steel sheath for long life. Turn off power to the controller when the kiln is not in use using an on/off switch on the control panel.

The PAF20-1 has a durable high temperature, water-base finish. We chose water-base paint because of the low emissions during spraying. This creates a safer working environment for our employees and cuts down on pollution.

There is no extra charge for crating. Inquire about the crating cost of a competitive kiln when figuring prices. Most Paragon round and square kilns are packed in wooden crates at no extra charge.
