HYDROPERM MOLD
MIX Hydroperm is a plaster-like refractory made by the US Gypsum company. This mold material can be poured or trowled over almost any existing material: clay, wax, glass plates, etc. Pam is an excellent release agent. Just add 1 part by volume of Hydroperm to 1 part warm water, stir and pour like plaster. Let the mold set 30 minutes, then remove. Fire to 300 degrees for 4 hours or more to remove any internal moisture. Keep the kiln vented. Have fun making your own molds. |

MIXING: Mix one part powder to 4-5 parts
(by volume) water. Distilled water is best APPLICATION: Use at least 5 coats of wash on a new shelf or mold, 4 or more coats on subsequent applications. Apply with a Chinese hake brush for best results. Brush in one direction and then at 90 degrees,
and then diagonally, applying as evenly The tint in Bullseye kiln wash indicates
that it has not been fired. On firing the dye PRECAUTIONS: Shelves which appear dry to
the touch may still hold moisture. Damp Avoid breathing the dust during cleaning.
Wear a respirator, which is approved by STORAGE: Store the powder in a dry, cool
