Remember how hard it is to solder those really small parts to rings, pendants, bracelets, etc.  Now you can use this tack welder to tack items such as ear posts, settings, catches, bar pins, tie tacks, bails, etc. so that they will not move.  They will be welded firmly in place and will not move while you solder.  And all it takes is a step on the foot switch.
